ORTHODONTIC MECHANISMS

BRACKETS (Fixed orthodontic mechanisms – “Splints”)

Braces use constant, gentle pressure, applied to your teeth over time, to move them into the right position.
Your braces work every moment of your orthodontic treatment. While braces are available in a variety of forms, including metal, plastic, and ceramic, they all have the same goal: To properly align teeth and jaws for improved aesthetics and better oral health.

METAL BRACES

Metal braces are popular with children and teenagers and are smaller and more comfortable than ever.
Traditional braces have two main components: the brackets that are placed on each tooth individually and the wire that connects them.
As the wire applies pressure, the teeth move and the bone is reshaped.

GOLD BRACES

They are similar to metal braces with the difference that they are gold plated.
For those who want to make a difference and emphasize their decision for a change in their appearance.
Gold wires are also available for this type of brackets.

LANGUAGE (Lingual) AORATA SIDERACIA

Lingual braces are placed on the back (lingual) surface of the teeth and work just like traditional braces.
This allows them to be completely hidden, so no one knows you are wearing them.

TRANSPARENT BRACES

Clear braces are a popular choice for adults and teens who would like a discreet alternative to metal braces.
They offer the same benefits without the noticeable appearance of metal.
Just like metal, clear braces feature two important elements: The brackets that are placed on the teeth and the wire that connects them.
Braces can be made from a variety of ceramic and composite materials, but you’ll usually hear them referred to as “ceramic”.
Note: because these materials exhibit more sliding friction than metal, the treatment time is usually a little longer.

MOBILE ORTHODONTIC DEVICES (DENTURES, TRANSPARENT DENTURES)

MASELAKIA

Mobile orthodontic appliances which are used either in the first phase of orthodontic treatment or at the end of the treatment to maintain the result.
They perform a specific task and are not suitable for full orthodontic treatment.

TRANSPARENT LATCHES

The new trend in orthodontics provides ideal solutions for people who consider aesthetics during treatment to be of primary importance.
In the majority of cases of orthodontic problems they give a comparable result to that of fixed brackets.
In difficult cases, transparent braces can be combined with braces (hybrid treatment) for a perfect result.

CARRIERE MOTION

The Carriere Motion system is an alternative treatment to the extra-oral orthodontic appliance.
In our practice we have completely replaced the cumbersome and inelegant extra-oral systems with this sophisticated intra-oral system.
At the same time, thanks to the Carriere Motion system, we have dramatically reduced the need to extract healthy, essential teeth for orthodontic purposes.
